NEWS FROM CASA ALABANZA/ CASA BERNABE 2009

Our Dear Friends:

Gracias a Dios!!!

We are so thankful to God for His faithfulness in watching over these precious girls at Casa Alabanza, all the time…………  Definitely, He is a loving Father!!

During vacation of School, we have spent very good moments, not only in the house, but in different fun activities as well.    On November 21st  and 22nd, we had our 25th Anniversary Celebration of Casa Bernabe. There were lots of games in the soccer field, and we had the special meal for Thanks giving Day, too!

The girls are doing well.  Two of the Peten students came back to Casa Alabanza for vacation or to continue studying. One of them, Claudia Velasquez just graduated as Bachelor.

The other girl, Claudia Najera,  will go back to Peten next year to complete her career of Accountant! These two girls are very helpful, and they help watching the toddlers during their vacation time, but most of all, we are blessed through their testimony in serving with great joy.

The final School program was very nice this year. Well, every year it is always interesting and nice. Two girls from our house, Karen and Victoria graduated from Elementary School. These two girls are very outgoing and enjoy school a lot, especially expositions and all that has to do with Science.

The other 14 girls, who  have been living in Casa Alabanza for the last 5 months, are still the same girls.  So there’s a total of 16 girls now, plus Sarita’s baby and 3 of our own.

Big family… a lot of noise,  lots of activity , but also tons of smiles, and good ideas! We enjoy that. We have a great God, our provider, and good Father!

Each one of them have different talents and skills, glory be to God!   because the deepest desires of their hearts is to use those to invest in His kingdom.

Their health has been basically good, except with sore throat once in a while, but they are fine and strong.

Last  night we had another bonfire behind the house. What a surprise when 3 of the girls decided by themselves to “lead” all the group in Worship, prayer and Sermon!   They spent almost an hour preparing everything that was in their hearts… No doubt the Holy Spirit had been working in their souls… and they did pretty good!    We are glad to see how God is raising His servants and in this time, He is preparing them for something very special in their future.

Jose Rafael, Sara’s baby, just turned 7 months old!   He is growing so fast and is getting strong and healthy.  He is trying to crawl!   All the girls love to play with him and take turns to hold him!

This month of December there have been several activities with sports and some local churches visiting and bringing them some gifts and Christmas piñatas and snacks!  But all the kids are especially blessed by people visiting and sharing special time and fun and smiles and friendship!

All the kids are expecting with great expectation the Christmas program for Dec. 25th in the afternoon, and one of the missionaries is leading them in a Christmas Chorus!

Hugo and the group of Hebrew dance continue to prepare Dance presentations for each activity, and they have been invited to other churches to present the dances with different themes, and, glory to God, they have been very blessed through that!

In this special opportunity we just want to THANK EACH ONE OF YOU, dear Friends, FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT IN PRAYERS, and thanks also for your letters, cards and encouragement words to each of these girls. They need it so much, and the Lord has been using you to bless them in so many ways, perhaps you don’t have idea how much you bless them through your messages and encouragement ways!

But we have a greater joy…. and it is JESUS.  And Jesus makes it possible through you!!   And He is the one who will REWARD all your love, and care, and prayers, etc.
